Arkansas wants SEC West expansion. We are 100 percent behind TAMU and Missouri coming into the league. West expansion benefits us and does not hurt us.
But we don't want the SEC West to look like the Big 12 either.

What it's going to come down to is keeping rivalries intact or keeping the divisions even. I say we keep the rivalries intact and give LSU the easy division.

I get the historical rivalry shite. I really do. But Bama is going to have to give a little bit in this shite. For fricks sake, they have gotten it easy the last 7 years with Tennessee as their cross-divisional rivalry anyway.
Doubtful.

Penalties. Make them steep and no school would think about jumping.
If a program wants out, they will find a way out that is still beneficial for them in the long run. Buyout language is only a starting point for negotiations.
I don't want mizzou for various reasons, don't know why anyone else would want a program that is not 100%SEC.

I dont know, the ACC put in some new wording and higher buyout to leave the conference
I think I read that this got rejected by two members when it came up for final approval. Could be wrong.

Even if Bama doesn't give, they don't hold all the power in this decision.

Probably not going to happen. Despite what you (fans) think, Alabama and Tennessee will have their way in this. Thats not speaking as a homer, thats the reality of Alabama of Tennessee.

If Bama don't like it, why should they vote yes?
Also there are at least three other schools that are blocking the deal.

True, but I'm doubtful Bama will give on the issue. And, UT is just as stubborn as we are, I doubt they will relent.
It's fricking Alabama and Tennessee for crying out loud. They "are" the SEC.

So hopefully we can get 9 of the other 10 schools to agree at some point.

God knows Florida and SC can't beat them.
They've only played USC 10 times.....ever. And We've done pretty good vs them for the past 30+ years (15-10) though they do lead the series still

What strikes me as funny is how Bama fans believe their school has some super secret extra power in a 12-person vote.

This.
Bama is about as powerful and important as Vandy in this situation. They are 1 vote. Nothing more, nothing less.
The question is, who is the 3rd no vote and will they flip. That is all that matters if bama and ut really want to go down this road and not do what is best for the rest of the SEC.
