that's about right. when LSU beat UT in 01, they really fell off. UF had the tebow yrs but the east was falling at that point
but Auburn has always played more like a eastern school in SEC history. Hell the AU/LSU bloodbath is very "new" in terms of the SEC, they rarely played each other back in the day

not sure if you can move Auburn to the east and not screw up Alabama's rivalries...
If Tenn and Auburn are both in the East, is Alabama expected to have them both as permanent opponents?

I don't get why we have to have divisions at all. We all know Kentucky, Vanterbuilt, Ole Miss and Miss St. are not going to be in the championship game. Just have one division keep the rivalries and the top two play each other that way we dont end up with what happened last year. USC was probably the 4th best team in the SEC, but they still played for the championship.

What if we just move UT to the other division? I know the geography would be all messed up, but that way UT-Bama can be preserved as well as the Iron Bowl. UF and UGA have little history with UT prior to the last expansion. I would sacrifice the UT game every year to get back the AU rivalry annually.
