Not during a night game but the organization it took for A&M to do that Red White and Blue across each deck was rather impressive.

I was a senior when we did this, and a couple buds of mine coordinated the effort. It was pretty amazing to see things happen so quickly on such a large scale. I was down on the field at the end of half-time for "Boot Line" (football team runs out onto the field through Aggie seniors). Looking up at the mass of Red White & Blue from down there was a real proud Aggie moment.

For all the hateful things I can conjure up to say about the Aggies, I actually like Texas BBQ.

Didn't you get the memo that we stand the whole game? That's pretty hard to do when you're piss drunk

Like I said...I've been there before. I've seen it. Yeah, you guys stood til the asswhoopin' began. And it's one thing to stand, another to stand and make noise.

And don't try and talk to SEC fans about drinking...

Our student section stands the entire game, and yells the entire time we are on defense. I'm going to assume one of two things:

1) You were in a visitors section or an alumni section with old folk, or

2) You were someplace else.

Students never sit down, and they are never quiet unless we are on offense.

I was right next to the student section...and yes, it got pretty quiet IMO.

Unless...you think that is loud.

Between that and Bonfire '98-'02 was an intense time to be a student at A&M.

The visitors section is right next to the student section, so that'd explain people sitting down, but yes I know the 12th Man is loud.

I will admit that Kyle field is impressive compared to your average D1 stadium, however we are talking about the Aggies here. THey think they invented everything and/or take everything to another level.

Ive been to about 5 games there and yes it was loud, however it was a mellow loud and i remember after the game where they had just upset a number 15 ranked Mizzou, everyone just went back to their cars and drove away, their wasnt any excitment in the air.

My best buddy went to A&M and is a die hard fan. I took him to Tiger Stadium 2 years ago for his first game and 10 minutes into the game he admitted he had never seen anything like this. From the tailgating to the food to the band entrance to the electricity of the night crowd at TS, he was blown away.

Again, not saying Kyle isnt impressive, the swaying, the band, yes its cool. I think its problem is having that one end open up and lots of room for noise to escape, plus you are talking about 93,000 drunk cajuns in TS, that noise cant be compared to!

I have also sat in the A&M student section a couple of times at Kyle. A friend with me kept saying "isn't this awesome?!" like he assumed I had never been in a loud stadium before.

You are exactly right that it was a different kind of loud. It felt like we were all watching the sidelines waiting for instructions. The AAAAAAAAA was loud, but it just wasn't crazy and drunk like the SEC student sections.

Its loud, but it won't be an impressive atmosphere in the SEC. It will be average at best.

It does not compare at all to Tiger Stadium, IMO.

I'm sure Kyle can get loud as hell, but there's a difference in "canned" loud and drunk, obnoxious loud for the sake of being loud.

to the band

As a member of a fan base that has a sub-par band (especially by SEC standards, though with a new band director we are supposed to be getting much better and larger) I was really hoping LSU would bring their whole band the last time they came here in 2008 and hope to see them at halftime. Given the distance and economic issues I was disappointed by not surprised that they could only bring a pep band.
