We're well-versed in dealing with t-shirt fans. No problemo.

Actually, kind of. I'm sure some Aggies would be hypocritical about it.

Another thing, is that it's one thing to be a casual t-shirt fan, wearing a shirt just to wear one. But I've dealt with so many smack talk from tshirt fans that go to texas state or utsa etc. That's were it gets old.

Pop Quiz

You're most prized possesion is this

True of false:

The woman below is or is not a former student of TAMU?

Julie Scamardo
Ring Program Coordinator (head of the whole shabang)

Ironic? Unacceptable.

If a arkansas state fan starting talking smack bc arkansas beat you, I'm sure you would agree that's retarded.

That's different from what you said earlier. If some shithead from McNeese, who isn't an LSU fan, is talking shite about someone beating LSU, well then I have a problem.

But if they just happen to go to some shitty school like Sam or SFA or St. Ed's or SLU or whatever, but they are a fan of whoever managed to beat us...Arkansas was the example you gave, I have no problem with that.

Hell, more often than not they are bigger fans than kids that actually go to the big name school.

Not quite. Like I said it's not like I'll be living by all those SEC t-shirt fans.

Big Kat...don't worry...nobody really thinks that arkansas is relevant around here. Besides, my Labrador could get into the U of Arkansas.

We won't care about t-shirt fans in other states. It's just annoying when the guy comes to mow your lawn and he has a longhorn shirt on. But yes their gear sells, and they probably have the most marketable logo around...

....you and Mike Gundy.

There are many people in Louisiana who grow up cheering for LSU but when it is time for college they attend another university, as happens everywhere. So what your saying is that guy can't support the school he has followed his entire life? Come'on man.

Exactly. For a variety of reasons someone may not end up attending the university which they are a fan of. Who cares? Sometimes it just makes more sense to attend a different one (scholarships, etc).

Aggies take "Most Delusional Fanbase" award and 2nd place isn't even close.

I grew up in a family of UT grads, but scholarships and whatnot led me to LSU. It was an easy decision and an easy conversion of my fanhood.

That said, I always followed the Tigers closely, liked em' since I was a kid...but I didn't get ALL their games in Texas, I was surrounded by orangebloods, etc.

So where do I fall in?

Get ready, SEC. Aggy is gunning for our fans next. The unwashed non-graduate of our fair Universities. Besides TT having a campus full of STD ridden whores, t-shirt fans are their largest beef. AMU abhors any college sports fan who does not wear their class ring, or yours.

You've been warned
frick them 80% of the SEC fans are so called "Tee shirt" fans. They need to park the primadonna attitude and get use to it.

There's no such thing as an aggie t-shirt fan...

Are the other 20% Vandy fans?

And for clarity, Ags use of "t-shirt" is more synonymous with "bandwagon" than a person who never attended the school they cheered for. Most have no problem with people who have cheered for one team their whole life through good and bad. Just those that claim to have done that but only break out the tee in good times

Now when you say it like that I can understand, but unless you know the person, how do you know?

It's funny you use this example. I have a good friend, grew up in Louisiana and for years had a big orange "T" on his truck window and had a bunch of Tennesse appearal, koozie's and such. When the Tigers won the BCS back in '03 the next week he had an LSU sticker on his truck window and all the orange shite was gone

There's nothing wrong with the ags about being a bridesmaid. Texas Tech and Baylor are also-rans, they just don't seem to bitch AS MUCH.

Ole Miss and MSU are constantly in a pissing match about who is 5th best in the West.

I just think it's funny when the hatred reaches this level.

Also not having been to Texas more than a handful of times it is hard to appreciate how the rivalries affect the fan bases. I guess I always knew there was a rivalry, just as I know Oregon and Oregon State are rivals but I just never had a reason to think about it. I just started paying attention to it when conference expansion came up last year when I started snooping around a couple of Texas and Aggie forums.

It's a huge rivalry...just as Texas/Oklahoma is. But the rivalry history is also pretty lopsided.

But it's dead even since schollie limits were put in. Hell, I'm 28 and have a winning record against UTa in my lifetime.

We won 10 of 11 (with the loss being a 1 point loss in Austin) in the mid 80's to mid 90's. UTa won 6 straight in the early 2000s. That's what people remember now. A&M has currently won 3 of the last 5
