This interview with the Aggie president pretty much confirms what we all knew already - Texas is like that spoiled rich kid who is used to getting his way no matter how unreasonabl because of who he is.

That interview makes me really respect Loftin. He's very intelligent and maneuvered through conference realignment with a deft touch. He certainly handled it better than Beebe or any of the other university presidents. As an A&M student, I'm proud to have him running the university.

Gotta say, I didn't know what to expect of Dr. Loftin--especially following the respectively memorable and forgettable tenures of Dr. Gates and Murano. He's been nothing but a class act, and I'm honored to have shaken his hand as I received my diploma from Texas A&M.
