Jesus, what are they traveling by horse and bugy? Its a tad further fro CS to Fayetteville than to Stillwater. Its about the same distance from B-CS to Lexington as it is to Ames Iowa or Boulder Co. In other words, their travel distance doesn't really change that much. Have you ever seen CUSA, If teams like Marshall and UTEP can travel to each other for volleyball games, its not that big of a deal for A&M

Hey their President and AD said it along with just using math.

TAMU to...
LSU -- 364 miles
Ark --488 miles.

Ole Miss -- 566 miles
MSU --575 miles
Bama -- 630 miles
Auburn -- 780 miles.

Tenn -- 940 miles
UGA -- 948 miles
UF -- 949 miles
UK -- 968 miles
USC -- 1098 miles

Ark to....
Ole Miss -- 371 miles
MSU -- 471 miles
Vanderbilt -- 520 miles
LSU -- 531 miles
Bama -- 540 miles

Auburn -- 662 miles
Tenn -- 695 miles
UK -- 696 miles
UGA -- 770 miles

USC 908 miles
UF 991 miles

Hmm..
Ark can cover 5 schools in under 550 miles.
TAMU can only cover 2 schools in under 550 miles. or Every Single SEC East TEAM is over 940 miels form TAMU, ouch.

No shite Sherlock, you Arky's sure is smart if you figured out all by yourself that teams in Non AQ conferences like UH, SMU, Rice, etc, eyc would line up to join a AQ conference.

The issue is not whether they COULD find teams to replace TAMU, its whether they want 12 teams or 10. If they wanted 12 teams, they could have easily replaced NU and CU.

what is this a dick measuring contest, who gives a frick who has more schools within a completely arbitrary radius. Flying a jet 550 does not cost that much more than flying it 450 miles, its not that big of a deal, maybe an extra 15 minutes, whoopee.

FWIW Ark is closer to OM, than A&M is to TTU.

If they were walking or taking a horse carriage, that would really suck, but seeing as its basically the same distances as they are to teams from the Big 12 North, what's the big deal?

Outside of short trips to Austin and Waco, A&M will not be traveling significantly further than they did last year in the Big 12

Um.. BYU, Louisville, Boise State can easily expand the conference footprint and replace TAMU.

Here is the deal..

If TAMU leaves the Big12 I hope the Big12 adds back to 12 teams, there are plenty of teams that want an AQ conference, and stops college football from expanding.

The Big10 can just say.. So you added TAMU SEC, great we still make more revenue and we strengthened our talent base with Nebraska no need to expand.

Pac12 can say if the SEC renegotiate the contract and is even with us, in terms of TV revenue, so what? We don't need to expand our product and TV deal past 12 teams and a championship game to be even with the SEC.

FSU Can say thanks but no thanks, we are Top 25 in Total Revenue, play in an easier conference, Miami is down, and we are very marketable already on ESPN we don't need anything more or to make our road harder.

Then what?

The SEC is forced to take a Missouri or West Virginia (2nd highest on the Total Revenue List of all candidates for the SEC) for example.

Answer: The SEC made a bad mistake and diluted a solid product for not much of a revenue gain.

This could happen.

do you have a reading comprehension problem? Are you arguing with your self? No fricking shite, we could sit here all day and list teams that are in lesser conferences than the Big 12. Once again that's not the issue. The questions is does Texas want to expand the Big xii back to 12 teams. There is no shortage of teams to fill 3 spots.

FWIW, BSU and Lville are further from the Big 12 teams than A&M to the SEC W. Boise to Austin is 1600+ miles

I know at this point you're just trolling the shite out of everyone, but I will repeat what has been said like 15 times: The Big 12 won't expand to 12 teams because Texas does not want to. They will add one (probably BYU) to replace us and end it. I'm not saying it makes sense, it doesn't, but they were fine with not replacing Nebraska and Colorado as well.

Commence with some post that completely ignores what I just said.

You obviously don't have airplanes, lol.

Utterly stupid statement. Yes there is a large difference between 200 mile or more distances in Air Fuel and Pilot costs.

Can you stupid college kids even do math?

There are 2 big 12 teams in the 940 miles or more in the Big12 last year.

There are 5 in the SEC.

Fine, they go back to 10, Big 12 doesn't implode and it moves on.

Hey young dumb and full of cum. The comment is supplied to show the Big12 won't implode unless the Pac12 wants to expand. Then again maybe everyone else wants the Big12 to stay and keep a monopoly they have and let smaller schools join who want the money and AQ status.

I don't think the Big 12 will fold once we leave.

Do you think a Big 12 with Texas, OU, Tech, Baylor, Ok State, Mizzou, KU, KSU, ISU, and BYU receive a larger TV contract than a 14 team SEC that's added A&M and FSU or Virginia Tech? The Big 12 will have to renegotiate their TV contract after we leave, just like the SEC will do so also in the near future.
If you answer yes to this question, it will confirm you either have full blown Downs or are just typing shite to get a response.

I hope y'all come on over it will be so much fun donkey punching you agin for another 100 years.

No, the Big 12 won't but the Pac12 and Big10 will be better than the SEC in TV revenue.

So the SEC is currently 3rd now, in revenue, and they will add teams just to go back to 2nd or 3rd in conference revenue when everyone else expands. Ok, kinda pointless.

What's the incentive to expand for the SEC?.. Texas Market.. Even with that they are still behind the Big10 but now they have 14 teams instead of 12.

Hey sweet arbitrary line. My arbitrary line is at 650, which means 5 schools for each, and therefore they are the same distance.

See how idiotic using arbitrary measures and drawing conclusions from them is?

Nice try.. Why don't you calculate the additional road miles TAMU will travel playing the same schedule as Ark and LSU each year.

The travel costs are much different. Otherwise, it would not be talked about by the AD and President of TAMU.

You now have the campus distance feel free to get to work. I'll check your math when completed.
