And why leave bama because of the pressure for Penn state when they fired Franklin mid season for not winning?

Threshold for losing is far more palatable in Happy Valley than Tuscaloosa

James Franklin was in the CFP semi-finals last year and couldn't make it past 6 games this year

James Franklin would have been fired after his second year at Bama if his trajectory was the same as it was at PSU.

Genuinely curious, what does everyone seem to think that he would leave Alabama so soon? He seems to have done a good job thus far.

Does Kiffin beat his 14 month record at Tennessee and leave LSU in one month??

I agree but not if you ask that spoiled fanbase.

They think they should have 49-7 victories week in and week out. Their FSU loss meltdown was downright embarrassing.

Head the same about Debour. His family hates it there and he feels like he can’t make them happy regardless.

They fired Franklin early and are down to Heupel or Sitake? They didn't seem to have a plan.
They lost both of their top two when Cig and Rhule got a bag to stay. If they're looking at Heupel I wonder why Mullen's name hasn't come up. Say what you will about him at Florida but the guy can treat down and rebuild a program which is what PSU needs to do.

Is he unhappy at Alabama is the pressure too much
I think he's starting to realize he's the Ray Perkins of this era. If they can get Dabo, DeBoer will be gone in a heartbeat.

DeBoer to PSU, Kiffin to Bama. Orgeron named interim at LSU.

McShay said Sexton didn't like the way they fired Franklin so he's basically using Penn St to get his guys extensions. Not sure I believe it because Sexton's big revenge is just taking Penn St for more money.

They might be waiting on Brian Hartline
You don’t need to wait to announce the hiring of a current coordinator. Its not uncommon for coodinators on teams still playing for championships to get announced as a new head coach elsewhere, but still finish the postseason run in their current job.

Bo Pelini, Kirby Smart, Sarkisian….all coordinators who finished championship runs after they were already announced as the incoming head coach elsewhere

I would think there’s something to Heupel, but with the season over for Tenn. I think it would already be announced or heavy smoke at least.
