But I agree, I have no idea what they're doing. JMU's coach just got hired today as well. Basically all the G5 candidates have signed elsewhere, and all the gettable P4 coaches have signed extensions or with other schools.

Deboer is not going to Penn State. He'd be an idiot to leave one of the most resource driven programs in the NCAA. Bama is a top 5 job in NCAA you don't just up and leave that.

If DeBoer to PSU is true, I guess Bama thinks they trot over and pluck Kiffin. Their fanbase will go nuts with a coaching search starting so late in the cycle.

I would assume call sark. There have been grumblings there of him going to the NFL so he may not be happy. Then Lanning. After that, given the current coaching cycle, it would have to be some coordinaters. Those are so hit or miss.

Hot take for now, but won't be in 10 years: Bama is going to struggle to adapt to unrestricted NIL, more than several other SEC teams.
