That as classy and honest as Les is, he would have had a team speech to EVERYONE last night in the locker room after they had just won the 75th annual Cotton Bowl and say something like "I can't wait to make a run at a NC next year" or "I'm staying at LSU to coach you guys next year" or whatever. And of all of the players that are on the team, surely something would have been leaked. Not just a few players stating he tells us that he is staying.

I don't care if Michigan has contacted him, not contacted him or even if he wanted to be contacted the type of guy that Les is would do something like that.

Soooooooo my conclusion:

HE IS DONE COACHING AT LSU.

You've never been good at negotiations, have you?

Miles gives all leverage in contract talks with LSU the moment he is definitive about not taking the UM job. He is not going to do that just so some hand wringing fans can relax.

I think Michigan's lack of persuing anyone the past couple of days makes me wonder if Miles is the one. Remember how Alabama stalled and seemed as if they couldn't get anywhere in their coaching search-until the NFL season was over? Yes-no activity can be BAD!!!

I GUESS Miles rebuilt Oklahoma State, however he took over a well functioning program from Saban. If he goes to Michigan he has to rebuild a team, not keep up recruiting and winning. Taking over after Carr is 180 difference than taking over after RR.

so you're saying the players who said he was staying are lying?

I think its more likely that Les didn't know everyone wasn't in the locker room.. Barksdale was in the showers or something.

So your saying only 3 heard him? Never said the players are lying but could it be possible that they might have heard him wrong?

Just 3 huh

With what he said to his players are you telling me that you are confident that he is staying?
