To be fair, if RR had Chavis in Ann Arbor with him, he'd still be employed. But still, that isn't the (my) point. LSU has situated itself for a totally different style of offense with the players it's recruited, and hiring Rich Rod would set the program back to a rebuilding stage.

Guys we had no one of Offense RRs first season....they all left.
So he got a bit in spaz mode, and recruited too hard on Off the next 2 seasons.
To top it off, GRob didnt make the guys we did have better. Had Casteel come along, that could of even worked for us.
A lot of chit in background to go along with all this(IE drama from both some of our fan-base & those in WVa).
I wish it had worked out for RR. That said, I have no doubts he could be a great pick up for a team. He just needs to get an outstanding DC.
That Off of his works. D-rob showed he was a first yr starter. More often than not we stopped ourselves, and it should of gotten better next season.

I think Starkville's rubbing off on you.

I agree wholeheartedly. I think given another year, there would've been continued improvement...and in a couple years, UM would've been a presence again.

That said, I wouldn't want to see LSU have to go thru 2 or 3 years of rebuilding, only because I think LSU is loaded for a run the next 2 or 3 years.
-
I have no issues with Rich Rod as coach, but the timing isn't there for him to be LSUs coach.

Certainly RR at LSU with CLM's players has a better record than CLM at Michigan with RR's players.
I think we might when a few games with Chavis and 500 yards TO per game.
...like every single one of them.

I'll bet RR does contact LSU and you'd have to think he's be SUPER motivated to succeed.
