You would probably want that.

Hoping to get rid of the HC of the rival in-state school?

He would hopefully be on the list. He should get an interview.

I would LOVE this. Just for the sheer fun of watching the State people go in full meltdown mode.

I'm saying it's a big assumption. Miles would be essentially walking away from an immediate chance to win his second BCS title as a coach.

That has to play a part in his decision.

I would hope so. He is a very good coach.

And Mullen may gladly walk into that situation. He may also keep Chavis, which would be good since there aren't many good options out there and he just lost his DC. I think Mullen is the best option for LSU from all aspects. We are the big job he will eventually get, he's offensive minded, and I think this keeps the recruiting class intact... May also bring CJ Johnson with him.

+1

I'm not sure what all of the Pelini talk centers around. He was nothing spectacular here, he didn't recruit particularly well, and his team imploded this year.

Nebraska can keep him.

If Mullen didn't go to Florida, I think it's highly unlikely LSU would land him.

LSU is in the position to win the NC next year. UF is not. It's pretty simple.

I'm not sure it's confirmed that Florida offered Mullen.
