so that means we should stick with a 2nd tier coach? You're right, there are always idiots. There was that guy screaming in a youtube video about wanting to fire Meyer after they lost to Auburn in 07. I'm sure he was on suicide watch yesterday. There is a difference between idiot fans that nitpick everything and legit concerns over a coaches ability.

Way to not answer the question.

Do you ever answer a question directly? Or are you just good at deflecting and changing the subject?

you've got to be fricking kidding me. Just look through this thread alone to see who avoids all the questions and goes straight to personal attacks.

Many around here feel that Maximus should never be judged unless everything with his ideal hand picked coach under ideal conditions ie win every game by 100 points, never allow a point, much less a first down, have 24 QB sacks per game, have 24 interceptions by the defense per game, 75 yd. punt avg. with the ball being downed on the opponents 1yd. line very punt, a touchback with every kickoff, etc. Does simply having Maximus installing his new robot coach buy an excuse out of next year's lay down games against UF, Bama and whoever else may get a first down, a score, a kickoff return against LSU?

Where is there any correlation between what I said, and that response. I didn't defend anyone.

Maybe 1% of the posters on here have any idea what actual coaching ability is. It's a lot easier to Monday morning QB a decision here and there, than do anything else. Once again, I'm not defending Miles. If we created a Serpentor like coach from the coaching DNA of Bear Bryant, Vince Lombardi, and Knute Rockne...people would still be bitching and second guessing coaching decisions.

Oh, and I'm as guilty as second guessing as anyone.

he was clearly asking you what does Miles bring to the table if its not Xs and Os on either side of the ball, game/clock management etc NOT ASKING what is a day in the life of the typical college coach

you're right. miles has had a phenomenal run in the toughest conference despite being average to below average.

oh wait, you're probably in the "we win on talent" crew. as if mere talent gets 11 guys to all be on the same page

Yup! Does the usual babble and venom you spew with every post make you feel clever or funny? Apparently it does because you seem to do it an awful lot. Does it make you feel like you're being accepted by posting the crap you do?

Again, if Crowton calls the Offense (like Jimbo did) and Chavis calls the Defense (like Pelini/Malveto did)

Then what is it that Miles does?

Simple question.
