With the prospect of Nicky leaving, a little introspection is not so bad.

With the prospect of Little Nicky's departure from Bama, I have to say a little introspection doesn't hurt too bad for a LSU fan.
There is not much more satisfying than knowing our opponent will experience something like what we did when he left here. Am I butthurt? Maybe, but folks wearing red who taunt with, "its pathetic to be obessed with his departure..it appears it's the only way you think LSU will win, instead of making a statement on the field" frankly have absolutely no damn idea what it was like for LSU a couple of years back. (By the way, we have made some statements on the field). And now they will relate to our "obsession", but they won't completely understand because his future team is not in the same division, and he's not using the pipeline he set up at his previous institution to better himself for a in-division, in-conference rival.
The struggle from having a program you love rise to the top, then go through such uncertainty brought about by the person who brought it there is pretty tough for any fan.
LSU has been fortunate to find a good coach in Les, and even though he has aggravated the Hell out of some of us, he is a great man, great recruiter, player's coach, and good enough in the Xs and Os to make us a contender yearly...and make it a little interesting along the way. Not many programs are that fortunate, i.e. Florida.
A couple of the gumps on this board seem to have level heads as much it pains me to say. But
to the ones that exposed our butthurt and now will understand what's it like to go through such uncertainty. I'm not sorry for rubbing it in y'all's faces. A majority of that fanbase is delusional. When that statue in T-town comes down by an Updyke type, we shall see who is butthurt.

If this was an essay board instead of a message board, your post might be read more.

Glad you seem to be completely over Saban leaving LSU almost 10 years ago.
I shall use your rational approach if and when Saban leaves Alabama.
