You are missing the point. The more the spotlight is on Tate showing how much of a disgusting racist he is, the more likely he is left with two decisions.
Decision 1: Go against his racist views and be viewed as a fraud by the woke cultists
Decision 2: Stick to his religion and drive Woodward away after fricking up the coaching search
It's a lose/lose situation for him.

Y’all sound so delusional. This dude hasn’t said a word about the opening period. And you’re already psychologizing him like this. It’s bizarre. You’re all imagining his motivations and their implications. I have listened to a lot of local radio this week. No one is claiming any motivations close to what y’all are putting on him. There’s been vague whispers about him wanting to prioritize interviewing minority candidates. That’s a far cry from demanding a minority coach. You’re making it impossible to objectively evaluate coaches for yourself. This is beyond paranoid.

Can you share a link? I haven’t found anything except that he has studied critical race theory. I’m gonna need more than that to assume he’s racist.
And what am I imagining? I’m saying there’s no evidence that Tate is putting undue pressure on Woodward. That’s what every other thread here is about.

You totally whiffed on my remark. I'm totally with you about Tate's resume, and apparent agenda.
I'm mostly lifelong sans a few years, Baton Rougean. And well know LSU Admin, Politicos, BOS, TAF, Gov, ex Cowboy Cusimano, etc..types history of meddling and wanting a say.
Went to OLOM, CHS, LSU a full cycle behind Scott, a few years younger than his younger brother Stephen.
Scott, though a Weill/Beychok political animal originally, worked under and with Emmert, and has fully transformed into a fully legit AD. He was brought home to clean up Title 9, Compliance,etc..and for this particular hire when it's day arrived, after the botched 2015-2016 quagmires.
I heard rumblings of his return a lil while before being brought back from ATM, by former oldtime LSU players and relatives at cookouts. Ones later attended by he and his brother, of which no one asked he about his business.
Political types that have formerly meddled in past hires can try, as usual. But, the days of Joe Dean cheapo hires, and BOS grift graft for campus concession stand and construction contracts, with bargain priced 8-3 type HCs are long gone.
I assure you Scott will only put forward an HC of his own choosing. He only hires proven track records. He'd walk away from the job before having his hand forced. And he has the right backing needed if it were to ever be contentious behind the scenes.
