Why would Malzhan not be interested in Texas?

Saban wasn't interested because:

1. He's too old.
2. Wife has moved too much and finally said enough.
3. He has unlimited resources at Bama.
4. He coaches at the pinnacle of college football.

I don't think they will offer him or he will go but none of those things apply to Malzhan so why would he not be considered a candidate for the job? Need to apply logic to coaching searches.

He's playing for a national championship and Saban will be named HC in Austin by Wednesday. Is that enough?

None of those apply to Malzahn? You said his wife has moved too much, Kristi has moved a lot more than Terry.

3 years at Auburn.
1 year at Arkansas State.

Saban made that arse quit, without even beating him.

You ever noticed that the overwhelming majority of the threads predicting coaches other than Saban to Texas are started by Bama fans? They are so scared and insecure it is getting pathetic!

Because he said he wasn't interested and initiated the discussions to lock in his new contract before the SECCG.

Malzhan has changed jobs five times in the last seven years, so I really doubt he wants to be doing it again. Saban has done it once in that time period.

I don't think Saban is going anywhere, but let's not act like Malzahn hasn't had to do some moving around while Saban has been everywhere.

Saban did the similar thing when young. Most coaches move around a lot when young.

Saban was clearly interested in Texas.
Gus isn't going anywhere.

Saying that over and over will not get you back to Kansas.

Obviously he isn't as old as saban, but Malzahn being 48 is hardly young in the coaching profession.
