Why the quietness on Fuente?

Just haven't heard much noise lately. Seems like Krag is most likely to take over.

Fuente could not compete with Kragthorpe's history of explosive and exciting offenses.
Moreover, Les liked Kragthorpe's idea of planting mouse traps in the locker room as a motivator.

The guy is clearly the best OC available. How do we frick this up?

I like Fuente but he has no experience running an offense all by himself

You do realize this is an OPINION... thus "clearly" is not accurate.

Fuente would want total control. That ain't happening here.

No way another candidate can compete with those numbers.

Before the bowl game, people were saying that the quiet meant that Crowton was definitely staying.

Based on what, his excellent play calling against New Mexico State? I too got caught up in being excited about Fuente, but dude is very young for this level. He might in fact be the best candidate, but there's nothing "clear" about it considering his relatively small resume.

Fuente has not been interviewed for the opening.

Really. You've been tailing all parties and have a bug on all phone lines going in and out of baton rouge I see.

I for one was very excited when I heard his name, however I have to be honest, I really did not know who he was other than being Co-OC at TCU. I started thinking about it, he is young, he is unproven and he has not had full controls over an offense as of yet. It would be a roll of the dice with him. Miles will not give him full control nor take that chance.

I'm going to go with maybe the fact that he said he wasn't interviewed???

TCU co-offensive coordinator Justin Fuente said he has not talked with LSU about the Tigers' offensive coordinator opening, despite rumors that the 32-year old assistant was a top candidate.

prolly nothing but i'm thinking miles was/is going one of two ways; bringing in an OC/QB coach or bringing in a QB coach and promoting BG. He's interviewing all angles to get the best possible fit.

No bugs, but I talk to someone that works at the LSU Athletic Department on a regular basis. Personally, I would like to see Fuente interviewed and given a shot....but I'm not CLM and he is the one that calls the shots. Bottom line, Coach Miles will make a good hire.

Saban isn't gonna be the coach at Alabama. Petrino is gonna stay at Atl. Michigan never offered Miles. etc etc
