Talked to my guy this morning and he's not shocked at all. The pressure was on saban Friday hard and now with him agreeing to an extension, it's not.
He doesn't understand however why UT boosters bought up that debt from those properties... Weird...
Letting this play out.. UT will offer nick saban an official offer and it will be for a lot of money.
I think Saban was gone had everything worked out according to plan. But Mack threw in a monkey wrench and screwed it up. Maybe he didn't want Saban winning with his players and taking the credit?

My question had to do with the boosters who really wanted him, why not blow open the bank doors to get him? If they have all this cash sitting around collecting dust, why not entice Coach Saban (thru Sexton of course) with $15-$20 million a year?
Politics. Just because Texas can pay it doesn't mean it is politically feasible to pay a coach twice as much as any other college coach.

Saban never considered an offer..... Period.

Right... and it took him a week to not consider it.

this is what makes me laugh about the bama fans....Sexton has whored Saban out at every stop and stops in between. He's misled each organization he's worked for, college and pro....wait for it.....But for some reason, it wasn't like that with BAMA. No one does that with BAMA. Even a pathological "mis-leader" like Saban with a track record of burning bridges, would never leave BAMA. HE'S A CHANGED MAN I TELL YA!!!!!!!

Has nothing to do with Bama. An agent will use these opportunities to determine client's marketability, always have. The point being made is that Saban was not going to Texas, ever. Would have been the same if he had been at LSU this year rather than Bama. UT is a disaster and Nick isn't moving again.

I really think that the Dallas Cowboys should throw the bank at Nick Saban
Why? He's not a good NFL coach.

Saban=Control Freak, Jerry Jones=Control Freak, Jerry would never consent to what Sabes would require to work for him.

It's not just that. Saban can't handle grown men who would stand up to his BS. And he's not that good at Xs and Os. He wins a lot at the college level because has is a great recruiter and out-talents everyone else.

Total whiff right there. So you don't like Saban, just say that.

And you think he is a good NFL coach?

Why were the Dolphins mad about him leaving? The Florida press as well. Because they wanted to fire him and he beat them to it? You do not like Saban, it's obvious and okay at the same time.
