Why not Shannon Dawson?

He’s been successful at every stop except the 1 year they gave him at UK.
He lead one of the top offenses as OC for 3 years while at WV. Set records while at SF Austin.
He’s young, recruits well, develops QBs, has LA / MS ties. Runs a hybrid air raid offense.
He has had more success than K Briles!

I played college ball with Shannon. He was mentored by Dana Holgerson, who was our OC during our playing days. He has under that umbrella for almost 20 years now

I knew Shannon when he was in Jr high/HS. Great family and good guy. I think he’ll be ready in a few years, but not quite yet. I do think he is better than some of the names seriously being thrown out. My biggest concern is the size of he job. He hasn’t had one this big before. Closest was WV and Holgerson was as much OC as Shannon was there.
All that said, I’d love to see him at LSU one day.

I’m at the defeated point where throwing out names is moot. It’s Ensminger, it was always Ensminger. Maybe I’m lowering expectations to calm my outrage, idk
