Why isn’t Chris Ash getting more attention?

As far as I can tell he’s an A+ hire with a proven track record, great recruiter, and is still fairly young.

Who IS getting attention? I haven’t heard any names other than those produced by randos on this website. FWIW, as one of those randos I’ve brought up Chris Ash several times.

I don't know anything about him, but I don't recall Texas having a very good defense in recent memory so I looked at some stats on sports-reference.com.
2019
9 games over 400 total yards allowed
6 games over 6 yards per play
3 games over 200 yards rushing
2020
6 games over 400 total yards allowed
2 games over 6 yards per play
3 games over 200 yards rushing
That's a little better than what we did in a historically bad year.

He’s a position coach in the NFL now, and you know O doesn’t have the clout to give a NFL position coach a promotion.

I haven't seen anything official re: Jax and he would triple his salary if he came to LSU.

He was in his first year and they improved from the prior season and throughout the year. Texas fans that are knowledgeable thought he was good.
