Well Chicken I hope you are wrong. Change = not the same old thing. The co dc did not work out! Waiting to make a change well that = doing the same thing and expecting a different result and that my friend is stupidity.
I've got to believe that Miles has some part of the equation solved and is searching for the rest. That is to say for example some position coaches are already chosen and finding a DC that he wants that is also willing to except his choices for position coaches.

But that won't stop me from being a speculating mother f...
Two trains of thought...he has a DC picked. Won't announced until after bowl game. He realizes that getting rid of coaches now won't help team against Ga Tech.
The other thought is that he is still in the interviewing process and NFL assistants are on the radar and he has to wait until their season is over to proceed on that front.
Again, I truly believe a new DC is coming our way, and that means that at least one assistant will not be back.

Did your earlier thread on this subject get whacked because I mentioned the other LSU site or did you lie some more and an admin got pissed?

I got a text from a friend I work with that went out with a football player and some friends. I knew this person was going so I jokingly asked them to:
A. Find out if he and/or the defensive players like Malvetto?
B. If he knew if they were getting a new D coordinator and if he did who?
Answers:
A. He dislikes Malvetto, not sure about the rest of the players so we can only assume.
B. Yes, they are getting a new D coordinator but he doesn't know who or when yet.
Obviously this is second hand knowledge....so take it for what it's worth. Admins you can whack my post if it is inappropriate but I thought I would share info. that was given to me!

Well, sick, I dunno how to break this to you, but who we think are the best pools of DC candidates out there just may not be who the CFB world knows are the best DC candidates for LSU's program.
Whether we like it or not, the CFB coaches tend to be a rather closed fraternity. Fortunately for LSU and contrary to what many uninformed here on the Rant forums seem to believe, CLM is rather well respected amongst that fraternity.
Yet another point, the best DCs out there at present are working on their defensive game-planning for their own teams' bowl games. It would be rude, even if behind-the-scenes agreements have been reached, to make public announcements which would disrupt the teams they are on staff with now before a bowl game.
Particularly in light of the fact that really good coordinators usually don't last more than 2-3, 4 years at the most (unless they like being coordinators and have no HC aspirations), before they're tapped for HC positions. A long-term successful HC at a high profile CFB program (a dying creature, methinks, with only a few exceptions), needs to be able to rotate in good, up and coming coordinators as he loses his to HC'ing positions.
Thus, it pays to keep your rep unblemished in the fraternity of CFB coaches.
It just bums us as fans not to know what's going on behind the scenes right now because it galled the hell out of us to see our once proud, tough Tiger D play like they did this season. No one, I can assure you, is more aware of his mistake in this regard than CLM. He'll fix it, especially if he really means to become one of those rare critters, a HC with a very long tenure at a single, high profile CFB program.

What are you talking about our coach will make the right decisions. I know because he won a National Championship.

I am not firing my buddy, Lou Tepper. He deserves his bowl bonus because he earned it by a total lack of competence. In fact, I think I will tell Morris Watts to hit the road and hire another buddy of mine to coach the offense.
