Why in the world would you hire Fedora over Fleck?

You shouldn't.
Fedora would not be a good hire. For starters we would lose the recruiting class. And he's known as a prick so doubt his recruiting would be decent here.
If you are hiring fedora for offense I'd rather let O get a offensive guy and keep the class.
Or grab Fleck

I do not want our HC to be a douchebag. If Dabo was the HC of LSU I'd die a little inside. Fleck looks like another Dabo. I know it's silly that I would give up wins to not have a D bag headcoach but I just hate D bags.

Because his name is PJ and he is Tony Robbins on a sideline. He is unproven other than what he has done this year against MAC teams. He is merely a flavor of the month and needs to grow his nut hairs at somebody else's school, not mine.

PJ Fleck is a flavor of the month type right now. He's never been a coordinator and we have no idea if he would have success at a P5 program that isn't an afterthought to the rest of the world like WM.

I'm with you. Although I'd rather Aranda over both. I think Aranda or maybe even fleck (although I like Fuente more) at least have the potential to be great coaches if it gets that far down the line. I think Fedora just screams 8-4 and 4th in the West most years. I don't think he's bad, just has a reasonably low ceiling.
