Why do people freak out?

Coaching searches... coaching changes... coaches quitting jobs and accepting jobs.
I realize that this is the sports world and we eat this shite up because we have NOTHING else to talk about right now, but in all honesty... I'm shocked at the amount of people that put SO much effort in finding reasons A, B, C etc... as to why coaches decide what they want to do with their lives.
Sometimes we let our fandom interfere with logic.
"He's a traitor because ....." "He's a quitter because..." "He should never want to go there because..."
I know it's food for our crazy forum using asses, but really, sometimes it's JUST a man doing whatever he wants to do with his life. We are reading too much into it because of how it affects our team and our own perceptions. Who knows, maybe I'm crazy. I just never care about WHY coaches do what they do because it's all business to them.

I don't. I really don’t think Petrino leaves Arkansas anytime soon but if he did I would thank him and appreciate what he has done for the Hogs. Petrino did exactly what I knew he would do when we hired him, prove that with the right coach Arkansas can recruit Nationally, we can compete with the upper teams in the SEC, and get Arkansas to a BCS Bowl. There a lot of great coaches out there and I don’ believe for one second that Petrino is the only one that can have great success at Arkansas.
However, Petrino has given Arkansas the template as to what type of coach it takes to be successful at Arkansas. One that has a dynamic offensive mind, one that knows the importance of having a good defense and is building towards that, one that is a tireless recruiter and recruits two years or more out, one that isn’t afraid to recruit against the best teams nationwide (doesn’t get his feelings hurt when a recruit tells him no), and one who is who prepares his teams to perform game in and game out and not rely on rah, rah, bull shite, i.e. leaves nothing to chance. In short, a coach that doesn’t make excuses but just gets the job done.

because it is fun. There are not games on right now. It is/was the middle of the school/work week. We need excuses NOT to work or study.
