Why did we announce that O is our backup plan?

I have no problem with that other than we had a two month head start and still have all of our eggs in one basket, but now Herman's reps know our hand. They now have leverage on us, regardless of how this ends JA needs to be looking for a job after our coaching search is settled.

Announce it? It's totally obvious. Of course the interim coach is the back up plan if we can't hire anyone better.
