And I wish him the best of luck. As long as he doesn't keep us out of a BCS title game, I'd like to see him succeed at UM.

I like Les. I'm just sick of guys using our program as a stepping stone to another job. It is a top 5 CF job that pays a bundle and we should be able to get a guy that signs more than a 2 year lease on his house.

It can happen.

How many job offers has Stoops turned down?

It is a tricky proposition finding a guy that can be successful and at the same time not flirt with other offers. I guess this is the price we pay for not having an in house legacy of coaches.

Well, he could also be trying to get more money from LSU?

Except both Skip and O'keefe both came out very early after the Carr announcement and said they wanted to make Miles happy or something like that. Pretty much sounded like if he wanted more money they would have accomodated him pretty quick.

Its not as simple as saying he wants to stay or not in November.

He'll make the decision after the season is done. He hasn't said he is leaving and he hasn't said he is staying. You got to keep your options open in a cutthroat occupation such as college football coaching.

I can't blame Les if he goes. I don't think there is a job out there that Les would leave for except the UM job. We knew this could happen right when we hired him.

I think we should hire the best available candidate.

He's turned down the UF job, I think some people have gauged his NFL interest....Iowa hasn't come calling..yet.

He could have been a player in the Michigan search but I think he made it clear he didn't want it.

It can happen but I want the best coach available.

Probably. And contrary to popular opinion, I don't think just anyone can coach here.
