Is Lane bigger than LSU?

Yes. This is exactly what the Lane experience is.

isn't every coach in the country a candidate through this scope?

He's under contract with Ole Miss. He's their coach until he's not.

If Kiffin accepts the HC position, in no way should LSU let him continue coaching Ole Miss thru the remainder of their season. One of the key aspects of the contract is what is the start date.

LSU cannot wait until Ole Miss season is over before his start date b/c worst case scenario 1) he’s absent from the December signing period, 2) delays staff hiring/recruitment while other teams are locking those guys down and 3) most importantly he misses the only transfer portal period for the entire football season. LSU cannot take that chance of not having him on staff.

Additionally, you can’t have a HC for two different teams at the same time. That’s a conflict of interest. It’s impossible for Kiffin to put each universities best interest at the forefront of all his decisions; like player transfer conversations at both LSU and Ole Miss.

Sucks for Kiffin and his players but if he wants the LSU job, LSU should mandate he accept the position full-time now and divests of his Ole Miss HC responsibilities the same day. That’s in LSUs best interest…

If he’s not interested in putting together a coaching or trying to keep recruits, he doesn’t want to coach LSU. It’s time to cut him loose and find another coach before we get locked into making a shitey hire.

Firstly, he built this up and it's his team. He deserves a shot with them. Secondly, we respect his decision unlike Ole Miss because you should respect the wishes of your guy. Thirdly, if the media wasn't leaking everything alongside Ole Miss being dickbags this wouldn't even be a story. It's not Lane's fault how this all turned out and especially not his fault the NCAA's setup on this sucks arse. Did Lane tell LSU and Florida to fire their coaches?

Because if you have ever coached, you would understand the connection you make with your team. Wether you like it or not coaches or very important influences with a person's life.
