Problem for Leach is that unlike the Tenn job at Aubbie he would still be second fiddle to the Bigger state school. (The state ain't named Auburn)

It doesnt matter. You can feel the huge momentum shift and the writing was on the wall. Auburn HAD to fire Tubby and hire somone that would excite recruits.
Tubby wont be the last coach Saban will be the end of in the SEC.
Not to mention Lane Kiffin coming in with his dad as DC.
Monte Kiffin will shut down the SEC's offense's.
The game has changed. Les needs to get his shite together next year or he is on the hot seat too.
