HC of the Buckeyes for 13 years. Compiled a record of 111-43, 70-30 in conference...back when the B1G was really, really good. Only had 1 losing season in Columbus, his first year there. Followed it up with 12 straight winning seasons. 3 B1G championships. Fired after going 8-4.

Why? He could not beat his biggest rival...Michigan.

Ohio State hired Jim Tressel...who was even better.

Then they followed up Tressel with Urban Meyer.

Some schools get coaching changes right.

I know where you're going with this, but Alabama is not, never has, and never will be LSU's rival.

Sounds a lot like Bill Curry. Good coach, but couldn't beat Auburn. Then Stallings followed that up with an undefeated seasons and a National Championship. Then DuBose... I guess the parallels end here.

Cooper had amazing teams and it seemed like Michigan ruined their seasons a lot, but MSU really cut their hearts out in 1998.

It ended pretty well. National title and countless bcs bowls. His tenure was a success.
