He'd probably be a used car salesman if he wasn't in football. That's probably a little harsh, but it helps to drive home my point; there is no shortage of coaches in football with personality coupled with the gift of gab, the same as there's no shortage of used car salesmen that employ those same tactics in their field.

Recruiting is the skill that can be most easily approximated by many coaches. You don't make a HC hire based solely on recruiting. You can get recruiting from a multitude of individuals.
