This guy will be one of the top candidates, if not THE top candidate, for OC.

Going with the spread here is a huge risk. It could be the next Malzahn or it could be the next Tony Franklin. A power offense is a much safer bet with questionable QB play and will help your defense tremendously.

Baylor OC
This may not be a bad place to start.

If you want to stick with the spread he would be a good hire. How much of that offense is really Briles though?

Good question... He had good numbers while at Houston also. He won the QB coach of the year award and has developed Kevin Kolb and RGIII during his career.

I don't think Auburn will look to run a Franklin-style, horizontal, dink-and-dunk passing offense, but something that emphasizes deep vertical routes and the running game like Malzahn's offense does.

IMO, Baylor's Montgomery fits the mold. I'd be shocked if Chizik went to a pro-style offense, especially with Frazier and Pike as the only real choices at QB going forward for the next few years.

All I'm gonna say is Rhett Lashlee has no shot at getting the job.

Agreed. Too young, not enough experience, and Malzahn will snatch him up for his staff.

Neal Brown OC Texas Tech

Young up and commer... Neal is the ideal coach of they want to keep Malzahn's system.

I dont think anyone can give an educated guess as to who our new OC will be. Chizik could stick to the spread or go back to the traditional pro-style offense.

He made great hires the first time around. I see no reason why he cant the second time.
