Good luck finding another Bama fan to back you up on that statement. Thanks for the props, though.

I'm going with Fulmer.

Colonel, I have thought that from Day 1.

Coach Miles reminds me of coach Bryant and I have always said that. Coach Bryant, like Miles, always surrounded himself with great assistants and then he let them do their job for the most part. I also think Miles is old school like coach Bryant was and I think he is very passionate about what he does. Just my opinion.

Scoop, some of your Bama brothers would burn you for saying this.

I have to go with Nick Saban. I love LSU and love the all the assistants. I can not stand Miles. I see no loyalty in him and mark my words, he will dump us like Saban dumped us and the Miami Dolphins for the first good looking job to come along.

I just hope Bo stays to coach the bowl game because if Les is the making calls, we are trouble.

seriously? i'll say thanks for the compliment, but bear = hardass, miles = mr. nice guy.
when was the last time you saw miles chew out a player on the sidelines for making a dumb mistake i.e. personal foul? he prefers to yell at the refs, no matter what happened...

I'm not a huge miles fan, but Miles and Saban are like light and darkness.

dunno. The other guy I have come up with - especially if Miles stays here for a while - is Bobby Bowden. Again, not a real X and O guy (these days at least) but tries to keep good people around him, wins a lot of games, recruits well, doesn't have much hardware to show for it.

Bobby Bowden doesn't have much hardware to show for it? Twelve conference championships, two national championships, and a 20-8-1 bowl record. Yea, not much hardware there.

What does Miles or three years have to do with it. YOU referred to Bowden as not having much hardware to show for it. Instead of waiting 50, why don't you get back to me now and explain how 12 conference championships and 2 national championships can be referred to as "Not much hardware."

He's been at FSU for 31 years. 12 conference championships is a little better than 1 every 3 years. Nothing spectacular, and right about at the same frequency as Miles at this poing. 2 MNCs is one every 15 years. All in all, it's hardly been a hardware filled 30 years.

You're right, Bowden has been at Florida State for 31 years. But, I guess you didn't realize that they have only been in the Atlantic Coast Conference for 16 years. So, instead of 12 titles in 31 years, it's actually 12 titles in 16 years. You want to re-figure your ratio of 1 title every 3 years and get back to me on that. And if you're not impressed with his two national championships during that 31 year run - do you know how many coaches have more titles during that time? One - Tom Osborne, and one of his three was a split title.

And I'm not a big Bobby Bowden fan. But, when someone makes an absurd statement like he doesn't have much hardware on his resume, it's kinda hard just to let it go. I mean, I'm just sayin'.

i agree with everyone who compares him to mack brown. Mack is an underachiever and so far (up till now) so is les miles.

No JACK - you said up until NOW. If an SEC Championship and a birth in the BCS Championship game in three years is underachieving - you've set a pretty unrealistic standard for any coach. I mean, I'm just sayin'.
