I think soon, but they need to technically post the position. They did announce the hiring of a search firm, which is interesting. I guess you should poke around at least a little.
But anyway, I think it comes off before signing day, for sure.
They did have a couple transfers but nothing major. Leonhard allegedly told the players they needed to be 100% in or there is the door. A couple took the door.

The success of Wisconsin's program deserves a search, but I don't think there is much depth to it. Likely, this firm isn't totally introducing candidates outside of Chris McIntosh's short list, but only serving as a node between the university and coach (i.e. Leipold, Aranda) to create plausible deniability.
There were always rumblings as to why Jimmy was staying at Wisconsin with numerous opportunities available. Of course, he loves Madison, but I do think there were assurances about his position as HC when PC left (by all accounts, happened sooner than anyone expected). In the end, I doubt Wisconsin will risk losing Leonhard by hiring someone else.

When the job is posted we'll know we're close.
I'm guessing he'll be named by Dec. 1.
There is no reason he can't improve the current recruiting class, and the longer Mac waits the more difficult that will be.

A lot of times a search firm is hired to shield public universities from public records requests.
Negotiations and communications are filtered through the search firm, so that information doesn’t become public record.

How many HC's are catching punts during pre game warm ups?

Throws better than most I'd guess as well.
