he did as well as Patterson at TCU
not a bad job at Bama
even though A&M was a disaster he did beat Texas twice as I recall

Gary Patterson was at TCU with him as the DC. The ressurgance of the TCU team was the defense with Franchione and when he left GP wasg iven th HC job.
Offensively Franchione was lucky enough to walk into a tem with LT in the backfield at TCU.

I read somewhere a couple of weeks ago that it's possible for him to go back Texas State (old SWTS) because they are thinking of moving up to Div 1

Franchione lived off 1 player and Patterson as DC...he doesn't get another gig...plus A&M is still paying that guy I think
