a new guy coming in would be foolish not to at least retain O and Wilson.
Of course. I'd love to see O stay here until he wants to retire. I think Frank has higher aspirations.

Excellent, detailed retort.

Hackenberg was already signed to PSU. All he did was continue to stay committed. O'Brien didn't do anything to sign him.
OB hired in early January 2012. Hackenberg committed in February 2012.

Let's be clear, if Jimbo wanted to bring in all of his own people, I'd be 100% on board.
I'd wish he'd keep those 3, but I'd understand.

You dont think Leach would come or you think Leach is not likely to get considered?
Not get considered. I just don't see his style or personality fitting here.

He fit in at Texas Tech and made them a winner. He goes to Washington State, wins and makes them a winner. He will win pac12 coach of the year easily. He would fit in at LSU. If saban can fit in at LSU I know Leach could.

Bill Belichick...
But seriously:
1. Jimbo Fisher/Bill O brien (If he can get a good D coordinator)
2. Justin Fuente
3. Chip Kelly (People are already calling for his head in Philly)

Hasn't made them anything their history shows they playlike this once every 4/5 years and 10 years they win even bigger.
Leach would be a disaster in Baton Rouge and would not even get a phone call.

Does anyone think we could pull david shaw from Stanford because if so I would love that!

You're likely looking at a Larry Fedora type hire.
Living here in NC I can tell you without a doubt, we do NOT want him coaching at LSU.

So y'all really believe these guys are better than Les?
Jimbo
Dabo
Briles
Fuente
Patterson
None of those guys except maybe Patterson I would consider better than Les and a few would be terrible fits at LSU. Some spread pass happy coach isn't the answer at Lsu. See Auburn with Gus. That's what will happen at LSU should you guys make a huge philosophical change in terms of style of play.

Whittingham would do really well at LSU with the right staff I think
Why can't he keep OC's? 8 in 8 years.

Agree 100%. He's only rocked it at both of his last stops, which were extremely difficult jobs (USM went 0-12 the year after he left and UNC was under a cloud of potential sanctions from the Davis tenure during his entire run at UNC). He obviously sucks.
