If you know anything about college football, then you would know that right now is critical for the upcoming recruiting class. For CFB in January, this search is taking forever. Especially since LSU needs a very solid DC (because offense isn't going to win us many games), and the longer it goes, more DCs sign new/extension deals and become unavailable. As it is now, if we pull a top DC from another program, that DC will put his current program in a really bad spot by bolting right before recruits signing.
DC at LSU is almost as important as needing a HC.
