We’ve had our DL and our OL coaches here in the past… both won national championships, but always lacked scheme and required amazing assistants. I see a lot of former QB and DB coaches as HC’s now. Personally, I love a good LB coach because they have to understand offense and defense. What say you?

O Line coaches make for best HC usually. They understand delegation of time, working with units, and how to adjust in game more frequently. OL coaches adjust every series based on what they are given by the defense. They have to adjust steps, splits, hinges, etc.

I don't care what position it is as long as they have considerable experience as a Coordinator

With today's football I'd prefer a QB coach.
