What Michigan's AD had to say re: Miles in Dec 2007

quote:
Domino's Pizza CEO and former Michigan player David Brandon did respond to an e-mail request for an interview, and addressed an assertion by Dufek that Brandon teamed up with Carr to convince Martin to shy away from Miles.
"Well, that's absurd," Brandon said by phone. "I'm not on the committee and have not had any kind of official role in the search and in fact, had no conversations with Bill Martin from the time soon after Lloyd's announced retirement until well after the whole Les Miles deal."
Brandon - who played with Miles at Michigan, but said the two have not kept in touch - added that he thought "Les deserved to be a very viable candidate in that search."
The Domino's CEO also said, "I'm as interested as everybody else is in understanding not only what's happened, but where are we going to go from here."
Dufek also played with Miles and had the following to say back in Dec 2007:
"The only way they can salvage anything, honestly - and most of us get the kind of coach we need to go into the future - is to go hire Les Miles."

Sorry.. I meant to say I have "multiple unnamed sources" embedded deep in the Michigan AD who assure me that Brandon is definitely going to make an offer to Miles.
My sources are 2 trainers: detroitplaya and 8 Mile.
They're both money.
Better?

Definitely seems to be some momentum behind the Miles to Michigan speculation. I think if no one is hired by Friday watch out.
