What is with the infatuation with Kiffin?

I may be alone in this but I don't see what's so special about Lane Kiffin. His deficiencies are masked by a ridiculously good defense. Our game was essentially a chess match between Aranda and Kiffin and it wasn't even close. They scored 10 points, and if our offense could have stayed on the field, it may have been less. Not to mention the guy is an absolute sleezebag. Why would he even come here anyway? Why would he leave Alabama where he can contend for championships every year and get paid? I don't see it.

I am sure that is worth way more to him than the resurrection of his career and the chance to be a HC in the next year of so.
