Just curious if Alabama would hire their new OC prior to the National Title in an effort to help stabilize recruiting. With Jim McElwain leaving for the HC position in CSU, what is typical?

I remember LSU receiving a lot of media heat for Miles allowing Pelini to serve as DC for the national title game against OSU in 2007. Did LSU name his replacement prior to the bowl?

No Chavis's name did not come up until January or February, I believe. I was stunned to hear that, and quite overjoyed.

CUM established a new protocal at tOSU a few days ago. NCAA signed off on it so he could recruit even tho they have an acting HC for the bowl. I think it was a mistake that will create issues somewhere later for someone but that is what they do. The NCAA creates more problems by making exceptions and not thinking them all the way out.
