He might be the hottest coach in college football right now. I know he's an alumnus of West Virgina, but supposedly the school hasn't followed through on some of their promises to him about improving facilities at the school.

Think he'd come to LSU if offered?

maybe in years past, but not now I do not believe..he's at his Michigan right now and he has proven you can get to a MNC game in that crappy conference

he's in position to dominate for years at his alma mater

Why would he leave?

W Va is his alma mater, and he's in a small (8 team) BCS conference that does not (obviously, w/ only 8 teams) have a conference title game.

He'll be in the running for the conference title and a BCS bowl at least 3 out of every 5 years. Why leave?

Crap.

He'd be my top choice, before the usual suspects like Saban, Spurrier, and Tubberville.

How about Jim Grobe at Wake Forest? He's a hot name right now.

He's at a minor college that the media pumps as the team of the 21st Century. He plays at least 8 1-AA calibur teams every year, gets to keep players like Noel Devine who nobody thought could qualify academicaly at any other school, and then gets to beat the sh*t out of the Big 10 doormat who also plays high school teams to qualify for the big game. What the hell do you think? Come to LSU and play teams like Florida, Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee every damn year?

There is a 0.0000000000001% chance. (Never say never.)

Wow, I'm really surprised at everyone's response. I thought we had a chance at Rodriguez guy.

Everyone's making a lot of sense, though. I can't argue with any of your points.
