What about him?? Please list every other coach that has finished in the middle of the pack in a weak conference.

LSU is a Top 8 job NOW. It was a Top 20 job THEN.

No, no, a thousand times no.
I saw all of Tiller I would ever want to see in last year's Champ Sports Bowl--unless it was as coach of an LSU or Maryland opponent.
Last year's greatly overrated Maryland team won many close games and beat Joe Tiller and Purdue much more comfortably than they beat Middle Tenn and Fla Int.
Chris Cosh, the Terps DC, was Tepper's protege and plays his defense. It didn't slow down a lot of teams the last two years, but it did a pretty good job against Purdue.
Tiller's defense was also very vulnerable to the vertical passing game, although Sam Hollenbach (Terps QB) was very limited in his mobility and didn't do that well against ACC defenses.
