What about David Reeves as LSU’s DC?

I've said this multiple times. Younger fiery guy with good defensive mind.. I'm all for it has fielded solid defenses with borderline g5 talent and was a broyles award nominee just last year, plus I think his defense led the NCAA in turnovers. Reeves is going to get a P5 DC job very soon.

His problem might be connections in the coaching community. I don’t think he’s ever coached at a P5 school, and he’s been at UAB for several years.

I’d be 1000x more excited about this than some over-the-hill big name retread who’s run the same D for the past 15 years. The offensive game is rapidly evolving and a younger guy would be the better choice right now. Track record really doesn’t mean anything when things are changing as fast as they are right now- get the most talented guy and call it a day.
