Chip Kelly, Tom Herman, Jimbo Fisher, then everyone else, IMO.

Chip Kelly is the only man who will step in and compete with Saban from day one. 2-3 years from now, LSU vs Alabama will be bigger than Ohio State vs Michigan.

Kelly is a west coast Les Miles. With all the talent he had come through Oregon he should have done more. Flashy uniforms and a flashy offense don't necessarily make you good. His teams had difficulty with physical fast teams. SEC teams are typically physical and fast.

Petrino is a douche. He lied to his boss, repeatedly.

Kelly would be recruiting Louisiana, Texas and Florida, as opposed to scraps from California and Oregon.

He never had the kind of physical talent at Oregon that he'd have at LSU.

California produces good HS talent. He had good recruiting.

He went to a BCS title game.

He had such a fertile recruiting base in Oregon...

He recruited Texas and California. He was at least behind USC and UCLA when it comes to talent from California.

And he should have done better, yet he didn't. One trip to the BCS. Big deal.

What were expectations of Saban at Michigan State then?

He did a lot lol. Also, look at the recruiting sites, he never had a top class like he would have at LSU.

Chips offense with Arandas defense
Aranda would never stay to coach with that prick, him or Petrino.

why do you think neither has any semblance of a coaching tree.

He won 11 games every year and played for a national title that game down to the final drive of the game?

lol wtf? Kelly wasn't a head coach at college for that long. He had Helfrich (now a head coach) and Aliotti as his DCoordinator (who's now retired). That's weak argument. And lol that you think he wouldn't coach under him. Did you speak to him personally?

One shot and missed. Wins 10-11 games and still falls short. Sound familiar?

Lol all the talent? He was never even tops in recruiting in the PAC 12. He turned a lot of guys like Lamichael James out of Texas into stars that other teams were not big on.

Les won 10 games like twice after 2007. It was a slow, steady decline with on fluke season where he managed to amass the most talented defense i've ever seen
