maybe desperate was the wrong word but people have erroneously anointed him in my opinion. you gotta admit that there are a lot of people on these boards that have been acting like it would be armageddon if we don't get him.

no what you are saying earl is that i'm pretty dumb. if i'm just overreacting then say that. i think it's a legitimate point. if we hire coach o, he will be our idiot and i hope he does great. i just don't think he is worthy.

It's as much about his recruiting abilities and his intensity than anything else. Intensity is something our D obviously lacked this season, and Coach O should provide a much needed spark. Furthermore, without the ability to bring in top notch recruits, mediocrity is the likely result. With our new hires, we SHOULD be far from mediocre.

There defense is easily the best and most intense in the nation this year. That being said, I think coach O brings alot to the table as a DEFENSIVE LINEMAN COACH....I yelled that because we're not talking about a HEAD COACH. Those are two completely different animals. And he is a GREAT recruiter who knows Louisiana very well. Do you think an NFL team would hire him if he wasnt pretty good at his trade?
