We are a top tier program? Why can't we hire a top tier coach?

Coach O is going to win a lot of games here. LSU didn't settle. He's a good solid hire. Am I thrilled? No but it's going to OK.

Not top tier brah. Top tier programs have coaches tripping over eachother to coach here. Please support your Tigers regardless

I am uneasy when there is a HC who needs top coordinators to be successful. The best can coordinate one side of the ball or other, if need be. Just sayin.

Because no one wants to deal with you crazy fricks. The LSU job has only been appealing for 10-15 years. Before that Saban run you got what you could get.
It's only a dream job now because better recruitment in that time frame.
You won't get a top tier coach unless he has close personal ties to the school .
All LSU really needs is a top tier QB, and they'll be fine. Had the program had good QB this year you would probably be looking at a one loss season.

Seriously. This is an entire separate subject that many fans need to come to grips with. Once upon a time, LSU hired a top tier AD. Many successful years followed that hire.
LSU administration is shite. And cheap. And shite.
