Apparently, Chavis has lost all support on this board.
Which is why that's my guess as to who actually becomes DC.

Tenuta, Chavis or Koenning...or Orgeron. Didn't hire Tenuta last year so don't think he would come now.
Definitely need Orgeron for recruiting.

CHAVIS...and this is why:
1. you want talk about recruiting...all but two of the top rounds defensive NFLers from Tennessee in last ten years were from outside of tennessee; he is known as a "seal the deal" recruiter. Has a ton of experience to what it takes to be successful in SEC. Doesn't seem to have much aspiration to be HC. Develops scheme to talent, therefore is flexible.
2. Koenning will ultimately go to K State; played there, started coaching there, and Snyder just returned there; once he returns the team to significance, they'll come looking for VK.
3. Why would Tenuta be his pick this year and not last year; plus Tenuta has the rep. of an abrasive guy to just about all who are in contact with him. Weis may have not worried about that as he may be accustomed to that from NFL days.
4. Spoke with some friends in H-town who are UT alum, and a lot of horn nation was quite pleased when Robinson left for the Orangemen; very few of us were happy to see Pelini leave, so how can we overlook such an opinion from a reliable fan base? Plus do you want to worry about him going back to the NFL every offseason since that is where most of his success was?
