Urban Meyer to Notre Dame

I HATE HATE HATE pulling out that "tough economic times" card (Like that bastard GM from the Marlins) but Florida is a public institution, and Notre Dame alums have more money than God. Things are starting to suck, economy wise, in Florida (I'm from St.Pete)

I beleive he stays put as Notre Dame insulted him with their first offer.
As I agonize over the demise of the LSU defense, the decline of team discipline, chemistry and leadership, posts like this remind me it could be worse.
All Notre Dame had to do was give Meyer a competitive offer as it was his dream job. So knowing that, what do they do? Low-ball the bastard. So not only is it painful (if an Irish fan) watching the team struggle under Weis, it is salt on the wound to look at the success the first fish on your hook is experiencing.
