A friend of mine spoke with someone of significance in AD office and was told that the "DC" topic is completely off limits and will not be discussed in meetings or otherwise until after the bowl game per Coach Miles.

Either really good news because he already has a firm grasp on who he intends to hire and that person is in the know, or...

Tommy Tuberville will be our coach in 2010 after Miles f*cks this situation up beyond recognition by allowing one of those clowns to remain as DC.

Tiger Nation,
just pray we don't crush GT 42-13 or something, which may give Miles false hope that his original coaching choices can actually handle DC roles.

GFY

I am sick of the attacks on these guys. They were NOT up to the task as DCs. That is no reason to be assholes toward them. They SHOULD be replaced. They do not deserve all of the vitriol simply because they were unable to handle the promotion.

Miles made a poor decision. It will be rectified. I will not attack the people who simply are not ready to do the job at this level. Just replace them.

do you think i would be told anything in the future if i reveal a source...give me a break.

Second, the source also said it would not be a suprise if Miles decided to say something sooner, but that only Coach Miles knows what the hell is going on b/c he hasn't said anything significant to anyone who is allowed in coaching planning sessions and preparation/operation updates.

Wow.

Why don't you admit you want Miles to fail so he'll be run out of town.

You are correct. I apologize for that.

Nope. Never spoken to either. I only know them from their time at LSU.

I don't want Miles to fail...I want what is best for the program, and a change in the leadership of the defense coaching I believe is in the best interest of the program, short and long term.

How do you know they will be replaced? There is nothing official or even remotely official that they will be replaced.

How do we know there is even a search? Officially, no search is being conducted. No coaching changes are going to be made.

Yes, LM said he expected "changes to be made before the BG." But he was referring to the defense, and that could mean that the coaches who are already in place will make the necessary changes.

Technically, LSU is not making any new coaching changes.

Until they do, the current co-DC's can expect to be blown out of the water for their management of LSU's defense.

I don't want Miles to fail. If he fails LSU fails and we all have a bad time. However, I am getting the feeling that Miles is being very hard headed about the DC thing. IMO if he did something quickly, LSU would have a lot easier time selling Peach Bowl tickets and we'd all have a lot more faith in the direction of the program. nWith every passing day, I am getting the feeling that Miles just doesn't want to be pushed into doing anything at all with his staff.

My post says "SHOULD".

I state that it will be "rectified". It is an opinion. In college level writing courses, they teach you that whenever you make a statement that is an opinion, you need not say "IMO". It is obvious that the writer can only give his OWN opinion. If it were a statement of fact, I would have given attribution. Perhaps, even a link to such.

ETA: I have nothing against anyone posting negatives about the scheme or the actual job performance. To simply revert to 'they are stupid, dumb, retards, etc' is ridiculous and classless. One can be against their performance with out schoolyard attacks.

I agree, Katy. Remember, coaches in general do not like to be told to change their staff. I also beleive that not addressing the defensive problems (other than we will fix it) will hamper bowl ticket sales.

And Miles doesn't? Who loses more if he fails, you or Miles?

He may or may not end up making he right choice, but it is not due to a lack of effort. Some of you act like these decisions are so easy. If it was, you would be doing it to collect millions.

Hoping we lose the bowl game if you don't get what you want shows what kind of fan you are.

Do you think Miles retains one of the goon twins as DC, and that Tubby will coach in 2 years?
