Yeah I agree. I think the issue is we have been spurned so hard over the last year that we are traumatized.

Yeah, Sark makes no sense on staff. He's been the head coach at both USC and Washington and the OC on a national championship at SC. Asking him--with his ego--to go be a QB coach for Pitt's OC would be asking for trouble. Not that he or Canada would be unprofessional, I just think it would be awkward for both of them.

I don't necessarily disagree, but I would say his ego has taken a massive hit and is not where it normally would be.

Sark coming as QB coach

this would take a Defensive coach away from aranda...

not sure how Canada would feel about someone else coaching his QB's..

someone else must be leaving.. Maybe Krag?.. Moving Ensminger to Krags role?..

We have 2 prior QBs and previously coached QBs that coach TE and WR Currently. It wouldn't be Oline.

Not like he has much choice as though he is an analyst making 30k

Drunk Sark would be a better ST coach than sober BDP.

Do you think LSU could counter with a raise and an additional title such as recruiting coordinator?

Or maybe just go ahead and make him co-defensive coordinator here to apprentice under Aranda.

My guess is Aranda will be here one, maybe two more years at the most unless something happens and he gets promoted to head coach or HCIW.

Culotta on the morning show said some schools were interested. There was a thread earlier but it was whacked.

Time for Ron Cooper to come home then

Maybe since Miles is gone he could have a shot, but he got accused of a lot of shady shite when he left. He was an amazing coach, but the rumors about his recruiting trips were rampant. Insiders said that bridge was burned to the ground, never to be rebuilt. The previous staff eveidently wasn't shy about saying what they thought of him.

Even with that cloud over him, I'm surprised he has done better since leaving. He had a pretty amazing run here and at USCe. I imagine he would return, if offered. I bet he would do well with the young talent we have on board.

I think his personal issues made him panic and commit to LSU, but now that his mothers death has sunk in, he realizes He only committed to LSU to be close to home and his heart is at Auburn. I wish the best of luck to him.

The fact that Malzahn was on such shaky ground last year, while Miles managed to survive his first brush with death may have also played a role.

I Am Glorious, if he is to be believed, thinks Memphis may actually be a legit player now because of limited opportunity for playing time with Stidham and another commit already on board. This is what gives me hope. We have playing time to be offer sooner. We shall see. Having Canada on board would at least give us a shot before he has to enroll.

There's also talk that early next year the proposal for expanding to 10 total staff members will be approved.

I agree with you. Even if the rumors are just that, they are out there and based on what happened at USC, he is still damaged goods. Much more so than Kiffin was, because his issue is a chronic one and one he may still not have a handle on.

I am betting all Sark can get is a position job, unless Kiffin is willing to take the risk of making him his OC. A couple of good years keeping himself straight will get him headed back up the ladder.

The NCAA approved an additional on-field coach this year, so you can have 10 now.
