I know that not all LSU alumni and students are native Louisianaians. I am and this joke mocks my heritage and that of many hardworking natives in white boots who struggled to make a better life for their children.

They also had a couple of shite coaches like Price and Shula. And a pussy like Francione.
They didn't just go get the best coach in football. They first went after Rich Rod, but he turned them down. And then they went after Saban, who was fed up with being in the pros where he couldn't push people around. They were lucky with timing.
If Saban hadn't stockpiled talent here and they had somehow gone 4-8, 3-9 under Miles in 2005 and 2006, then Saban would have been back at LSU and we'd be saying the difference between Alabama and LSU is that LSU went out and got the best coach in football.

For your information, I am from South Louisiana. Every place in this country where my job has taken me has resulted in the same scenario. The first comment to me after I have spoken has been "you're from Louisiana aren't ya". So yes, O and myself probably talk pretty much alike. Until recently, I even had a pair of those white boots that I got from Houma. They finally wore out. My wife needs no recipe to cook gumbo, jambalaya, shrimp stew, etc,etc. She learned from her mother. I take my accent, those boots, and anything else whether cajun or coonass, or whatever you want to call it as a badge of honor. If you got offended, I am sorry. The post was sarcasm based on the excuses many of O's fans use to justify giving him the head coaching job. They have all been posted all over this board for awhile. If that offends you, then I suggest go to one of those protesting universities and find one of those pathetic safe zones and ask for protection. No offense was intended nor implied. Hell, I'm one of dem Coonass's and proud of it.
