Cincinnati has done better

1984 - Urben Meyer (player)
1999 - Jimbo Fisher
2004 - 2006 Mark Dantonio
2007 - 2009 Brian Kelly
2010 - 2012 Butch Jones

Briles is a rape defender who hasnt won a meaningful bowl game

Sumlin has done nothing of significance

Herman is the only one that has potential

Actually these are the 3 since we are talking HCs

I'd say Briles and Dantonio are just about equal. Briles did lose to him but it was a final minutes thing. I guess just based on the match you could give the edge to Dantonio

Kevin Sumlin is Brian Kelly. Sumlin and Kelly both took over programs that had 5 of their previous 10 years with .500 or below records. Now ND did have twice as many 9+ win seasons during that time (4 to 2), but I equal that to the difference in SOS and talent. Anyway, present time, both of have similar records. The national championship run for ND is the outlier, but Kelly's record outside of that is a bunch of 8-5s and 9-4s.

I believe Herman will be the best out of all of them though.
